Ten on Tuesday

1. This is my entry for this week's I heart faces contest-the subject being bundled. Quite possibly one of my favorite snow pictures ever :)
And with that I am done with Snowverkill 2010 :)
2. I am registering Lily for Kindergarten on Thursday. *gulp*
3. Speaking of Lily, just found out her recital costume is going to be $80. Are you kidding me??? I find that completely ridiculous.
4. Charlie is two in ten days. I am going to cry now.

6. My photo-a-day project for March is not dead. Just sidetracked by all the traveling.
7. Oooooo March Madness is coming.
8. I watched the first 47 minutes of Nights in Rodanthe last night. Why 47 minutes? I was completely bored. But one interesting fact. The main character's married name was Willis. Guess what her maiden name was? Taylor. What are the odds.
9. I am behind on just about everything so what did I do today? Ignore it all and played blocks, read books, played outside, twice, wrestled and just had fun. It was great. But I will pay tomorrow.
10. I am in love with this :)

Seven Snowtographs

Will it ever end? I heard today that we have two more storms coming. Snowtastic.
1. Yesterday. Round two, first look out the door.
The real snow hadn't started yet. Supposedly.
2. Ok, fine. I admit it. We didn't take our hammock down. In my defense it really didn't snow much last year. And we don't really have room in our garage to store it because we actually park in there. Oh and for the record today-the snow completely covers the hammock. Something to think of as I am relaxing on it this summer.
3. Today. Somehow a Bobcat driver decided our pile wasn't big enough and added a bunch to this pile last night. Not sure why. It will seriously be here until June.
It is taller than me. Oh and also in the street.
4. Here is another view. Although the pile in the front blocks it, the piles go all the way to the front door (with a sidewalk path and doorway path free.) Not taller than me, but close. 
5. The very same Bobcat driver decided to fill a driveway AND yard of a recently vacated townhouse with this gigantic pile of snow. Once again, don't really understand that. And feel bad for anyone trying to show this place. Good luck getting in.
6. The view down the street. And yes, all of these piles are IN the street.
7. Finally, the classic trash can shot. These cans were literally frozen to the wall. It was slightly warmer and the icicles are dripping down the wall and onto the tops. I had to beat them with a shovel to get them open. No joke.

Hey at least the sun was shining today.

A little bit of snow

Otherwise known as Snowpocalypse 2010.
We began by just watching it. In our jammies. And some of us in monkey boots. And with a Cheerio on his bum.
After a while we bravely opened the front door.
And found that we had an 18" drift.
So then I bravely sent Bj out to take care of it.
(I stayed inside for this part.) But then suddenly, just as quickly as it started, it was over. So we went out.
Laying down is always the first thing Lily does when she plays in snow. Here she is standing. Yes, standing beside one of our MANY piles of shoveled snow.
And here she is standing on one of those piles. She was very excited to be there.
This is a look down the street.
These piles are going to be here until June. So after this picture we went out back and I decided it would be best to leave the camera inside. That was definitely the best decision as oh. my. goodness. There was a lot of snow out there. The highest drift we measured was 35" tall. We also took advantage of our little hill out back and had a great time sledding. And now I am realizing that I am old. And sore. Very, very sore. But it was still very, very fun. (Charlie was sleeping so he missed out today. Bj and I were both too tired to go out again-poor Charlie)
