So there is this meme going around on FB and I decided it would perhaps spark a blogging vibe...we shall see. Jess gave me seven, so here are seven things you may not know about me.
1. I used to hate the color navy. In like a "I will never ever buy or wear that color ever." kind of way. I don't know when that changed, but it is now a staple. And if I see something navy with white stripes, well it is pretty much a given that I will pick it up. 2. I have recently started taking the kids to school in the morning as they have to stand outside for a very long time, in the freezing cold. So Charlie started every morning getting in trouble...punishment? GOING INSIDE. Smart kid. Anyway, I STINK at it. We have more time in the morning but I am running around like a crazy person trying to get everyone ready to go. And I am usually in gym clothes-outside of the house working moms I salute you. Do not know how you do it. 3. When I get nervous, my ahem, rear end shakes. Like uncontrollably shakes. I remember it shaking as I played the trumpet solo to Live and Let Die in high school. 4. Most of you know this, but maybe some of you don't...I played trumpet in high school, and in college too. I was in the University of Akron marching band for two years and almost majored in trumpet. If only I liked to practice it as much as I did singing. 5. Even after months at my gym I am afraid to try new things there. Still haven't been swimming, still haven't gone on the free weight side. I need to work on my fear of looking silly. 6. I watch Americas Next Top Model. ACK. I have decided it is research. Yup. I am watching it for the photographers. (sure I am...) 7. I love Salt 'n Peppa. Like know every word to their Salt with a Deadly Peppa album. I really must get the CD or digital version of that cause my tape never imported into iTunes.
I am stressing about my arm. It is broken. Wait, no not my arm, my phone (which is like my arm) whose flash won't turn off.
I keep waking up early to have a bit of quiet time to myself in the morning. However it is cutting into my reading time at night. Just cannot stay awake anymore.
I wish I could be waking up in Cheyenne right now. It has been way too long since I have seen my sister.
I love avocados. They are quickly becoming my favorite food.
I danced with Jack in the living room to some Christmas music. We both had a whole lot of fun.
I sing tonight at Westlake High School with The Singers Companye. It will be a fabulous concert.
I think Lillian's new smile is the cutest thing ever.
I really want my phone to be ok...
I need to take more photos with the real camera. Seriously. Photos are very much lacking this year :(
I should be almost done Christmas shopping for the year. I haven't even started. Ack.
I can do a timestep.
I like to go through Lillian's bag and go through her papers as soon as she gets home. So excited that she not only got all AP's on her tests and homeworks this week, but she FINALLY finished all of the math problems on the timed test and can move up to the next level. We have been practicing a lot this week and it has helped her answer instead of getting stressed. She is so like me under pressure...
I make really good enchiladas according to Bj.
I always love this time of year. It is my favorite. Need to remember that when I am running around crazy busy.
I got tagged by Elizabeth AND Nicole, so here it is, my weird/interesting seven factoids.
1. The last two artists I looked up on itunes were Salt 'n Peppa and New Kids on the Block. And now that I just typed New Kids on the Block, I now have Tonight in my head. There you go Charissa. Now you do too. 2. I am terribly addicted to Etsy. Seriously. The last two stores I purchased from were Shabby Chic Crafts (thanks to Mary Jo,) The Polka Dot Parlor (just started window shopping her blog.) 3. I had a very vivid memory of my old substitute gym teacher today. For those of you who went to elementary school in my town around the same time, you may remember the "you betta beLIEVE!" man. Don't remember his name, but remember all the old track stories he used to tell. I'm sure he is no longer with us, but even as just a sub, he made quite an impact on my memory. 4. I hate olives. I will literally act like a two year old and spit it out if I ever happen to accidentally eat one. Gross. 5. Like my Mama, I do not walk on yellow lines. Or handicap spaces. 6. Except for some low sodium fries that Bj recently found, I have given up fries. This includes the wonderful and irresistible waffle fries from Chick-fil-A. *sigh* 7. Bj and I laugh about the names Lily comes up with for her stuffed animals. A zebra named Nose, a bear named Feets, and everything else named Belly. But my name for my childhood bear is not much better. Beary. How original.
